Job Description Summary Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Below activities shall be performed within stipulated time frame for Basic & Detail Cable tray layout engineering. To work on E3D /Autodesk Revit / & AutoCAD software for various type of hydro power plant Cable and Cable tray networks modelling. Generate General arrangement drawings for cable Tray layout & erection drawing & Trench layout.
Pothead yard / Switchyard layout detailing. Knowledge of Cable Sizing, Cable Schedule, Cable filling study & Distribution Board Schedule. To review various vendor equipment drawings for layout interfaces & requirements. Organizing the Design Review Meetings of Basic & Detail design document. Generate clash check report from E3D & resolve if any interference found.
Preparation of Single Line Diagram (Power, lighting, UPS, Control) Knowledge of Earthing & Lighting layouts. Prepare bill of material for various cable trays, cable tray supports & release in PLM tool. Should interact with other department for various inputs/interface requirement & keep the record. Interaction with customer/other COEs/Region for various discussion/meeting.
To review customer civil structural design drawings, civil construction drawings. Required Qualifications Diploma/B.E. Electrical Engineering Should be able to communicate/understand English language He/she should have minimum 12 to 15 years’ experience on below activity. should have good knowledge of cad software, like E3D/Autodesk Revit/ AutoCAD, MS office, etc.
Should have good knowledge about Cable Tray support engineering. He/she should have good knowledge about hydro power plant layout, equipment arrangement/layout & should be good knowledge about plant network layout. Clash resolution. Site Support & resolution. Cabling route definition & Trays filling study. Project planning/scheduling, man-hours estimation, document checking.
Desired Characteristics Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Established project management skills. Should be proactively initiate Layout interface and streamline. Should be able to anticipate & plan the project layout activities well in advance. should have good knowledge about EHS/safety rules which shall be considered during layout engineering.
should have good knowledge of defining equipment Loads/foundation civil requirements, equipment handling requirement.
