Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Accounting Supervisor III based at our Berea, KY facility.
What You Will Do; Lead and oversee financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. Monitor and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and support compliance initiatives.
Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide recommendations and explanations to management. Support the development of annual operating plans, forecasts, and long-range financial planning activities. Coordinate accounting and reporting activities across multiple locations within the Americas Division. Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members while managing workload priorities and performance.
Champion process improvement efforts that increase efficiency, enhance reporting quality, and ensure compliance with internal control requirements.

What You Will Need
– Education; Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Master's degree in Accounting (MSA) preferred. CPA, CMA, and/or MBA certification preferred. Skills Experience & Abilities: Financial reporting and analysis Account reconciliation and month-end close processes Knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency Strong communication and presentation skills Leadership, coaching, and employee development Process improvement and internal controls expertise Financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience supervising or leading accounting professionals preferred. Ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and reports. Experience analyzing financial results and communicating findings to management. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines. Experience working with confidential financial information.
Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, vendors, banks, and customers. Willingness to travel occasionally (approximately 5–6%).
