Job description

We are seeking an organized, proactive, results-driven Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of projects within Intricate Group, supporting operations to ensure great execution and performance across a range of initiatives — from emission reduction projects to software development and funding programs.

Location: Sherwood Park or Calgary, Alberta (In-Office) Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution : Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across a diverse portfolio spanning emission reduction and carbon offset projects, software and technology initiatives, and funding programs.

Cross-Functional Coordination : Serve as the central point of coordination between technical staff, field teams, clients, and leadership to ensure projects stay on track and aligned with business objectives. Funding Program Management: Manage the end-to-end process of funding program applications and reporting requirements (e.

g., ERA, NGIF, SRED), ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely submission. Risk & Issue Management : Proactively identify project risks and roadblocks and implement clear mitigation and turn-around strategies to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Performance Tracking & Reporting : Establish and monitor project milestones and KPIs, providing regular status updates and reporting to leadership and clients.

Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes, tools, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

/ Experience Project Management Expertise : Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools; PMP or similar certification is an asset. Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with oil and gas, carbon markets, or renewable energy sectors is a strong asset. Experience : 2-5+ years of experience managing projects, ideally spanning technical, software, or regulatory/compliance domains.

Track Record : Proven ability to deliver multiple concurrent projects on time and on budget. Communication Skills : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Technical Aptitude : Comfort working with project management software, data tracking tools, and general technology platforms.

Problem-Solving Mindset : Strong analytical and organizational skills, able to manage competing priorities and keep complex projects moving forward.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, project management, or equivalent practical experience. Working Conditions A mix of office, field, and client-site environments. Flexible hours and periodic travel may be required to meet project deadlines.
