Responsibilities
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Associate to serve as the operational backbone of our new business and growth efforts. This is a hands-on role where you will own the data, the outreach, the systems, and the follow-through that keeps our pipeline moving. You'll work directly with and in support of our Vice President of Client Services, with regular visibility to firm partners and leadership.
This is the right role for someone with a few years of BD or marketing operations experience who wants to apply those skills to helping us improve and optimize our approach to growing our presence in the marketplace. Key Responsibilities
Manage and continuously improve our contact database and targeting lists, including researching, building, and maintaining prospect lists focused on executive decision-makers Execute, analyze, and recommend improvements to email outreach campaigns using Hub. Spot Track, organize, and report on new business activity Identify and implement tools and workflows that improve how we target, reach, and track prospects Coordinate the full meeting lifecycle, from scheduling and logistics through internal briefings and post-meeting follow-up; ensure nothing falls through the cracks Support the development and updating of client-facing materials including capability decks, proposals, and info sheets, working closely with the Account Services Director and subject matter experts Assist in planning and executing conference and event participation — research relevant opportunities, manage logistics, and ensure follow-up is captured Participate in key account planning alongside the Account Services Director, helping to prioritize outreach and identify patterns across the pipeline Qualifications What we’re looking for: 3–5 years of experience in business development, marketing operations, client services, or a related field.
Professional services or agency background preferred but not required Demonstrated experience with Hub. Spot or comparable CRM and email marketing platforms Comfort with AI tools and a genuine curiosity about applying them to improve new business efforts Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; this role has a high volume of moving pieces and accuracy matters Strong written communication skills; comfort drafting outreach copy and internal updates Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel A scrappy, self-directed work style where you're comfortable operating without a fully defined playbook and are motivated by the opportunity to help build one Four reasons to join the maslansky + partners team: Direct exposure to firm leadership and partners at a nationally recognized communications and Language Strategy consultancy The opportunity to professionalize a business development function from the ground up — your work will be visible and consequential A collaborative, intellectually rigorous environment where the quality of thinking is taken seriously A passionate, creative, and collaborative team The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of maslansky + partners in New York City.
Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. This position is also eligible for an annual sales incentive that can range from 10% - 50%. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. $120,000 - $150,000 Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager.
