Overview
Serve as a lead category consultant partnering with Walmart to shape category vision and go-to-market strategy. Act as the primary point of contact for category, consumer, and market insights, delivering objective, fact-based recommendations on assortment, shelf layout, space management, and merchandising to drive category growth at Walmart.

Responsibilities
Partner with the Walmart Buyer to support development of category objectives , strategies, and tactics Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Walmart Buyers and cross-functional partners through regular engagement, clear communication, and responsiveness Lead the modular drawing process aligned to merchant strategies, including shelf layout design, assortment recommendations, and set size optimization, while ensuring ease of store execution and compliance Proactively identify emerging shopper and marketplace trends, leveraging available data and insights to develop fact-based recommendations Develop and maintain both custom and standardized reports to support customer meetings, category reviews, and ad hoc requests Support development of analytical tools and reporting to track and measure category performance across formats Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business , Marketing, or related field required Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer packaged goods within category management, sales, and/or market research Demonstrated category management expertise , preferably supporting Walmart as a Category Advisor Advanced proficiency in Retail Link, IRI, Sc intilla, Panel data, JDA Pro.
Space , Excel, and PowerPoint Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations Self-starter with strong ownership, bias for action, and results orientation Strategic thinker with strong storytelling and influencing capabilities Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and ability to navigate change Ability to operate effectively at both detailed and strategic levels No Supervisory Responsibility Working Conditions/Environment Works in a normal office environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, see, hear, sit, stand, talk, type, walk and bend while moving about the facility .
The noise level in the office is quiet. Occasional travel to plants or meetings is required .
