Job Summary
The Paramedic is responsible for a ssess ing , stabiliz ing , and provid ing emergency/urgent care for patients with acute illnesses or injuries, bridging the gap between home and hospital by performing advanced life support, administering medications, managing airways, and ensuring safe patient transport or transition to the next level of care, documenting all actions meticulously and maintaining equipment .
You Will: Start IV’s . Monitor patients . Administer medication for various reactions as neede d. Enact code policy as needed . Patient lifting as needed . Administer Flu vaccinations . Answer telephone as needed . Call in advance of scheduled exams to verify appointments as needed . Dispense and or explain preps for different exams as needed .
Additional duties as necessary in order for the office to operate cohesively . If You Are: Passionate about patient care and exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations. You demonstrate effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills and respect with patients, guests & colleagues.
You have a structured work-approach, understand complex problems and you are able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have: Travel to Radiology Regional's various outpatient medical office setting throughout Southwest Florida as needed from Sarasota-Naples region A high school diploma or GED is required.
BLS is required (Basic Life Support Certification). NREMT and ACLS certifications is required. Ability to relate to the public in a professional and courteous manner, understanding the objectives of the organization, regardless of racial, ethnic, religion, sexual orientation, gender, mental/physical health, age, economic status, etc.
Responds to emergency situations in a calm and appropriate fashion. The above knowledge, skills, and abilities may be demonstrated by successful completion of an accredited program, state and federal licenses (as applicable), and appropriate registrations and/or certifications. Possesses excellent customer service skills, strong written and verbal communications skills, and additional medical related knowledge preferred.
Must be detail-oriented and organized, and have the ability to interact effectively with doctors, staff, patients, vendors, peers, and management.
Pay Range
