Artisan (Fitter)

In this role you will be responsible for:

Reporting to the Engineering Coordinator and will be responsible for all functions relating to the position Artisan (Fitter)

The incumbent has the responsibility of maintenance and legal workorders to complete

Duties include but not limited to planned maintenance, breakdowns and project work

Maintaining and/ or repairing mechanical equipment

Management of critical spares

Ensuring implementation of management decisions, legal requirements, and the company

Compliance with the company’s HSEC system

Conveyor belt maintenance

Pump station maintenance

About you

Grade 12 & N2

Valid Section 13/ 26D Fitter Trade

Completed POE (Portfolio of Evidence) for trade certificate

At least 3 years’ experience as a Fitter in a mining underground environment, conveyor belts and chairlifts

Candidate must be willing to work overtime & standby

Medically fit to work underground

Good knowledge and understanding of the Mine Health and Safety Act and relevant legislation
