However, given the business requirements of this role, you are expected to frequently travel to our Tokyo office. We are looking for a Customer Service Manager (Japan Payments) to join our team in Tokyo. In this role, you will support our customers by handling payment-related inquiries, managing invoices, and providing financial documents accurately and on time.

You will be working closely with the Japan Sales team and internal stakeholders ensuring smooth accounts receivable operations while delivering excellent customer service and supporting day-to-day payment processes.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to payments, invoices, and financial documentation via email and phone. Manage the timely submission of invoices and prepare customer-requested documents, including quotations, tax invoices, receipts, transaction statements, delivery notices, and other supporting documentation.

Resolve payment-related queries independently or collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolution. Build strong relationships with customers, Sales teams, and cross-functional partners to deliver a seamless payment experience. Support accounts receivable operations by tracking outstanding payments, assisting with collections activities, and preparing reports, metrics, and operational dashboards.

Ensure all customer interactions and financial processes comply with company policies and applicable Japanese financial regulations. Identify opportunities to improve customer service, payment processes, and overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications

and Prerequisites Upto 2 years of experience in Customer Payment Operations, or customer service within a finance environment or Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations. Understanding of accounts receivable processes, payment operations, Japanese tax regulations, and financial documentation. Currently based in the Tokyo area.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with strong communication, stakeholder management, and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and a customer-first mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Experience working in a multinational or multicultural environment.
