Job description

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the daily activities of the finance team, providing direction, coaching, training, and performance support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis. Oversees financial processes, maintains compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards, and supports business decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.

Drives process improvements, maintains strong internal controls, and supports operational and strategic financial objectives. Job purpose Responsible for the daily activities of the finance team, providing direction, coaching, training, and performance support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.

Oversees financial processes, maintains compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards, and supports business decision-making through budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. Drives process improvements, maintains strong internal controls, and supports operational and strategic financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate finance department activities. Establish team objectives, assign work, and monitor performance. Develop and improve financial processes, policies, and internal controls. Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Support achievement of financial goals and compliance with Borg.

Warner policies. Assist in the preparation of the plant Long Range Plan (LRP), including capital expenditures, sales forecasts, and cost reduction initiatives. Support the development and approval of Appropriation Requests (ARs), including RSM model preparation. Serve as key user for One. Stream and other designated financial reporting systems.

Coordinate month-end and year-end close activities, including analysis and reporting. Ensure financial records and accounts are accurate and compliant with GAAP. Lead the monthly capital spending forecast process and monitor project expenditures. Oversee internal confirmation processes and inventory reconciliations. Manage and value physical inventor activities and investigate discrepancies.

Serve as the primary contact for tax reporting items; Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and internal audits. Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, accounting records, and financial reporting systems. What we’re looking for Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Six plus years of progressive accounting or finance experience Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP Preferred Experience in a manufacturing environment, including cost accounting MBA, CMA, CPA or similar professional certification Experience with One.
