Position: Heavy Equipment Mechanic Location : Las Vegas, NV Travel: Minimal Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with 5+ years of experience and background in diesel, cranes and hydraulics to join our team. The role will focus on performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of heavy construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and cranes. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues to minimize downtime. Conduct routine service checks including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid inspections.

Maintain accurate service logs, parts usage records, and detailed repair reports. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies while using appropriate PPE. Collaborate with site supervisors and equipment operators to resolve equipment concerns efficiently.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic. Prior diesel mechanic experience required. Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical components, and troubleshooting methods. Ability to read and interpret schematics and service manuals. ASE or other relevant certifications are a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
