Mechanical engineering internship/masters thesis in structural analysis – Wave Energy By doing an internship at Cor. Power Ocean you will be part of a world class team, determined to make big impact. Your work will contribute to the global transition to renewable energy by unlocking one of the largest untapped sources of clean energy on earth. The Role The Mechanical team at Cor. Power Ocean is looking for an intern/master’s thesis student with keen interests in structural analysis, solid mechanics and finite element analysis.
For thesis work placement, projects will be focused on finding and implementing workflow improvements and methodology effectivizations in the structural analysis chain, from input load data sourcing and geometry handling to result evaluations. A part of the project time will be spent getting into the existing methods used at Cor.
Power today, with the intention of improving upon these workflows. Technical field: Mechanical engineering, Structural Analysis When: Immediate, preferably 6 months Workload: Full-time Responsibilities Analysis Conduct structural analysis of components featured in our wave energy converter Automate reoccurring FE-tasks Investigate options for improved integration between FE-software and Creo/Wind.
Chill Contribute to internal methodology documentation and process improvements For this project we value experience and interest in: Commercial FEA-software (Ansys, Hyper. Mesh, Opti. Struct, ABAQUS or equivalent) Solid mechanics Extracurricular projects with engineering focus Programming, AI Passion for improving processes You are proficient in English, both spoken and written.
