Key Responsibilities
Managing the general ledger and recording all purchases, sales, receipts, and payments accurately. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Processing vendor invoices for timely payment and tracking money owed by customers to maintain healthy cash flow. Bank Reconciliation: Comparing internal records with bank statements to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements. Taxation & Compliance: Preparing and filing tax returns (such as GST, TDS, or VAT) and ensuring adherence to local and federal financial regulations. Audit Support: Providing necessary documentation and support to internal and external auditors during financial inspections.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborating with departments to create realistic budget forecasts and monitoring actual spending against these targets.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is typically required. Technical Proficiency: Strong command of accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP,) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for cost control.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and reporting to prevent costly financial errors. Communication: Capability to liaise effectively with vendors, clients, and internal management regarding financial matters.
