Key Responsibilities
Assist in diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic patients in OPD, IPD, and emergency services. Perform and support minor and major eye surgeries under supervision (e.g., cataract, pterygium, lid surgeries). Participate in clinical postings, ward rounds, and pre/post-operative care. Conduct refraction testing, slit-lamp exams, fundus exams, etc.
Support UG and PG teaching, including practical demonstrations and academic sessions. Maintain medical records, consent forms, and procedural documentation. Participate in community ophthalmology programs (eye camps, vision screenings). Attend departmental academic activities like seminars, case presentations, and journal clubs.
