RN Unit Manager (Registered Nurse) Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:00 PM Seabury at Pomperaug Woods | Southbury, CT Lead with Compassion. Inspire Excellence. Make a Difference. Seabury at Pomperaug Woods is seeking an experienced and dedicated RN Unit Manager to provide clinical leadership within our Health Center.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a nurse leader who is passionate about resident-centered care, team development, and ensuring the highest quality standards in a skilled nursing environment. As the RN Unit Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing daily nursing operations, supporting and mentoring staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring residents receive exceptional care and services in a safe, supportive environment.
Schedule Full-Time Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:00 PM Participation in an on-call rotation as needed What You'll Do Supervise and coordinate nursing care within the Health Center. Provide clinical leadership and support to nurses and nursing assistants. Conduct resident rounds to ensure quality care and a safe environment.
Oversee care planning, MDS processes, and resident documentation. Respond to changes in resident conditions and coordinate appropriate interventions. Partner with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Assist with staffing, scheduling, performance management, and staff development. Support quality improvement initiatives, infection prevention efforts, and regulatory compliance activities.
Foster a positive team culture focused on respect, accountability, and excellent resident care. Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications
Required Current Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current CPR certification. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Preferred Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing. Previous supervisory or management experience.
Experience with MDS, care planning, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer systems. [HC
