Department: Police Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent Experience: Minimum of three years related experience. Requires a working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures. Tell me more... Peoria’s Police Department has an excellent opportunity for a Management Analyst that will perform independent research and studies to make recommendations and coordinate the budget and fiscal activities of the department, including developing systems and procedures to increase efficiency and lower costs. In addition to being a self-starter utilizing independent judgment, here are a few more of the job requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in any field or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience in a municipal or government setting is preferred Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid background in professional-level administrative support. Some department specific duties are as follows (does not identify all duties performed): Monitor complex grant awards. Manage performance and expenditure reporting, research grant opportunities, prepare new grant applications and awarded contracts. Manage federal and state Asset Forfeiture accounts and funds, including financial tracking, compliance reporting, and monitoring assets and equipment purchased with forfeiture funds to ensure proper inventory and accountability. Compile and review department performance measures and statistical data. Coordinates and prepares fiscal activities and department budgets. Conducts budget analysis and prepares complex reports detailing fiscal activity. Collects and analyzes data to find areas of opportunities to streamline processes and procedures, improve services, reduce expenses and increase efficiencies.
