HPHA is a multi-site organization that includes Clinton Public Hospital, St. Marys Memorial Hospital, Seaforth Community Hospital and Stratford General Hospital. ROLE The Coffee Shop Staff will advance the goals as defined by the Volunteer Council by following all policies/procedures and assigned tasks ensuring excellent customer service.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION(S) Secondary school diploma with experience in food service; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Current Safe Food Handling Certification, or a willingness to obtain this certificate REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE(S) Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers, staff and patients Ability to operate with a high level of independence, sound judgment and decision-making skills An understanding/experience with POS (point of sale) and cash register procedures To liaise with customers ensuring they are greeted with a smile and a helping hand Conduct and present oneself in a professional manner Be able to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HPHA’s policy Be reliable, and flexible Adapt to change Be a team player and take direction from lead staff.
