Horse Guide | Luxury Lodge | Vaalwater Location: Vaalwater Property: Luxury Lodge Position: Live-in Salary: R7,500 – R10,000 per month About the Opportunity A luxury lodge in the Vaalwater area is seeking an experienced and capable Horse Guide to join its team. This role requires a confident rider with strong guiding abilities and a passion for guest experiences in a safari environment.
Key Requirements
- Must be able to ride confidently
- Minimum qualification: CATHSSETA NQF Level 2 (or equivalent guiding qualification)
- All qualifications must be up to date
- Previous experience in a guiding or equestrian safari environment advantageous
- Strong guest interaction and communication skills
- Physically fit and able to work in a bush environment
- Passion for wildlife, horses and hospitality
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays Key Responsibilities
- Guide horseback safari experiences for guests
- Ensure guest safety at all times during rides and activities
- Conduct pre-ride briefings and horse assessments
- Care for horses, including tack checks and general welfare monitoring
- Deliver engaging and informative guest experiences in the bush
- Maintain professional standards of guiding and guest service
