Location: Kendal, Cumbria, LA9 4DF Hours: 7 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday: 5:00pm – 7:30pm Wednesday: 5:00pm – 7:30pm Friday: 5:30pm – 7:30pm Pay Rate: £14.26 per hour Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent We are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable Cleaning Operative to work within a secure banking environment in Kendal.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cleaner seeking part-time work with the opportunity to secure permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out general office and banking environment cleaning duties Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing Cleaning washrooms and staff welfare facilities Emptying waste and recycling bins Sanitising high-touch surfaces Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene Following all health & safety procedures and site security protocols Opening, securing and locking premises where required Working independently within a secure environment Candidate Requirements Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred Ability to work confidently as a lone worker Comfortable acting as a key holder and operating alarm systems Excellent attention to detail and reliability Professional appearance and conduct Ability to use a telephone-based time and attendance system Good communication skills Barclays Pre-Employment Compliance Requirements Due to the nature of this role within a banking environment, successful applicants will be required to complete the following checks prior to commencing employment: Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check Right to Work verification Adverse financial screening checks GOV.
