Overview

Herzog Energy, Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated and disciplined Project Manager in the United States to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities

*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. Responsible for executing solar PV projects while maintaining budget and schedule. Manage and direct project management activities, act as liaison between key stakeholders throughout the project. Drive execution of the projects, keeping them on schedule and on budget, while maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.

Maintain top quality customer service with clients and all stakeholders. Evaluate installer’s progress reports with an eye toward managing project risks. Present project progress, key findings, and recommendations. Manage weekly calls with contractors to discuss project progress. Engage and coordinate internal resources, engineers, consultants, and solar installers in preparation and execution of project plans through completion.

Review and take ownership of project budgets including cost of permits and fees, third-party consultants, and construction costs for off-site, site work. Coordinate and manage solar installers, conduct project meetings, and provide weekly progress reports to client. Assist in the preparation and negotiate construction bid amounts and contract terms.

Provide site evaluation and due diligence including hiring consultants and evaluating/overseeing when required. Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Degree in Construction Management is preferred. 7 to 10 years of experience performing project management duties on large scale projects including 3+ years directly executing solar and BESS projects. Ability to travel up to 75% with long durations on location. Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down the organization.

Demonstrated success in the Project Management function of a construction firm. Proven success managing subcontractors and developing and executing innovative project changes. Success developing forecasts, costing and pricing Change Orders, and maximizing profits. Demonstrated ability to read, understand and interpret EPC contracts.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and people skills a must. Pre-Employment Requirements: Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review. Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsements as required per position. Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.

Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described below must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this role. This is a non-exhaustive overview of the physical requirements of this job.

Perform light work, occasionally exerting up to 20 pounds of force. Able to walk on uneven surfaces. Occasionally ascend/descend step ladders and/or stairs. Regularly sit and stand for an extended period of time. Regularly kneel, bend, and squat. Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.

Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position. Able to work in conditions with loud noise; work on/around heavy/moving machinery. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, and sleet).
