Night Dock Driver (CDL) Monday
- Friday Department: Shipping Reports To: Shipping Manager Status: Non-Exempt Description: Delivers merchandise to PRP hub in Albany, NY on a daily basis during nighttime conditions while safely operating a Class A CDL semi and trailer and handling our merchandise at times weighing up to 100lbs.
Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates a Class A CDL semi and trailer to ensure safe delivery and pick up of merchandise and automobile parts from a hub.* Loads and unloads merchandise and parts onto trucks, responsible for proper securing during transit and ensures all items are handled properly and delivered undamaged.

Completes and documents a proper commercial pre and post trip inspection of the vehicle.* Follows all company safety policies and procedures while operating equipment without causing damage or harm to people, property or equipment.* Inspects all merchandise and ensures it matches with the delivery ticket description including correct side, STK#’s, and options; demonstrates an understanding of the Hollander parts numbering system.

Demonstrates a complete understanding of the Automotive Recyclers Association (ARA) damage codes as it relates to inspecting merchandise and maintaining quality control.* May be required to operate certain types of forklifts or heavy machinery with appropriate license.* Follows all federal and state regulations that apply to transportation of goods such as Logbook, Drive time, Rest Periods, etc.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge in the automotive industry.
For insurance purposes you must be 21 years of age or older . Certificates and Licenses: Must have a valid CDL Class A Driver’s License. Forklift certification. Forklift training and forklift certification available.
