Business Development Manager - Johor Bahru

What You Can Expect : Identify and develop new business opportunities across key market verticals in Johor and the Southern Region, focusing on industries with strong trade and logistics potential. Drive new customer acquisition and consistently achieve or exceed assigned annual sales and revenue targets. Strengthen and expand cross-border trade lanes, particularly with Singapore and Southeast Asia, through close collaboration with Rhenus offices and global partners.

Manage the end-to-end sales cycle – from lead generation, client engagement, solution presentation, pricing, and negotiation to closing deals and after-sales follow-up. Utilize CRM tools effectively for pipeline management, forecasting, and sales reporting. Deliver impactful sales presentations, proposals, and tender responses that highlight Rhenus’ integrated logistics and supply chain capabilities.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers to ensure satisfaction, retention, and continued account growth. Stay updated on regional market trends, competitor activities, and trade developments relevant to Johor’s logistics landscape. What You Bring: Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience in sales and business development within Malaysia, ideally in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation services. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong understanding of cross-border logistics operations between Johor and Singapore. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Mandarin proficiency is an advantage. Strong proficiency in CRM systems for managing customer data, tracking sales performance, and reporting. A self-driven, results-oriented professional with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently. Team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth.

Familiarity with Johor’s industrial zones (e.g., Pasir Gudang, Tanjung Pelepas, Senai) and local business networks is highly desirable.
