Shop Assistant

Sentradel builds autonomous counter-drone systems in San Francisco. We design, build, and test hardware that finds and defeats drones. We are looking for a hands-on Shop Assistant to keep our build floor running and support the engineering team.

What you will do

• Cut, trim, and prep metal stock and raw materials for builds
• Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked at all times
• Support the engineers and the wider team with whatever the build needs
• Receive shipments, track parts, and stage materials for projects
• Run basic shop equipment and hand and power tools safely
• Set up and break down work areas and keep tools where they belong
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe, orderly workspace What we are looking for:
• Hands on, mechanically inclined, and not afraid of physical work
• Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment
• Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for long stretches
• Good attitude, takes initiative, easy to work with
• Must be a US person (US citizen or green card holder) due to the nature of our work Nice to have, not required:
• Experience cutting or fabricating metal
• Shop, machining, automotive, or construction background
• Interest in robotics, drones, or hardware Hours are flexible and negotiable
