Diesel Truck Mechanic
Job description
We have several openings available for Experienced Diesel Mechanics in the Linden, NJ area to perform repairs on a fleet of semi-trucks, trailers, and buses. Technicians should have 3 - 5 years of experience performing diesel repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on heavy-duty vehicles and trailers. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system diagnostics; replace and repair major internal engine components, transmission repairs, and rebuilds.
- Perform DOT annual inspections on medium/heavy-duty vehicles and trailers
- Use computer diagnostic equipment. Conduct inspections and tests to ensure vehicles and equipment are in proper working condition. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
Qualifications
3 - 5 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic Cummins certification is nice to have, but not a requirement. Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, with a strong understanding of diesel engine systems and components. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Compensation
$68,000 - $79,000 annually Benefits include:
