0 (semester & cumulative) Must be in good standing with the University Position Description The Involvement Assistant serves as a front-line representative of the Office of Student Engagement and supports the daily operations of the Student Involvement Center. This role focuses on providing excellent customer service while assisting students with basic involvement processes and promoting campus engagement opportunities.

Involvement Assistants help create a welcoming, informative, and efficient environment for all visitors while supporting programming and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide front desk coverage and deliver high-quality customer service to all visitors, students, and staff Answer phones, respond to questions, and direct individuals to appropriate resources Assist students and organizations with involvement processes , including: Student organization re-registration Event procedures Resource check-out/check-in procedures General questions about starting a student organization Support the daily operations of the Student Involvement Center , including space upkeep and resource management Assist with social programming and engagement initiatives led by the Office of Student Engagement Distribute incoming mail/packages and assist with basic administrative tasks Complete assigned projects and support professional staff as needed Fulfill other duties as assigned Expectations & Outcomes In addition to responsibilities, Involvement Assistants are expected to: Maintain regular communication and attend staff meetings with OSE team members Serve as a positive role model for students and peers Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability Build positive working relationships with students, staff, and campus partners Be flexible, proactive, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude Preferred Qualities & Skills Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Clear verbal and written communication Dependability and punctuality Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Interest in campus involvement and student engagement Compensation $10 per hour Up to 19 hours per week (minimum 15 hours required) Bi-weekly pay Work-study position only Application Requirements Applicants must submit: Work-study permit Cover letter Resume List of three references Class schedule All positions are security-sensitive.
