About Us
Royal seeks a Proposal Design Specialist to join our team and provide dedicated graphic design and production support for proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, and other business development materials. This position will work closely with Royal's Proposal Team to transform technical content, data, and complex information into clear, compelling, and professionally designed deliverables.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Adobe In. Design user with strong graphic design instincts, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience supporting proposals and marketing efforts for engineering, infrastructure, construction management, disaster recovery, environmental, or other professional services organizations is preferred.
Here's What You'll Be Doing Design, format, and produce proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations, and related materials using Adobe In. Design . Develop compelling graphics, infographics, organizational charts, process diagrams, schedules, maps, tables, and other visual elements that make complex technical information easy to understand.
Work collaboratively with proposal professionals, technical staff, and project managers to translate concepts and technical information into effective visual communications. Apply established brand standards while bringing creativity and strong design judgment to individual pursuits. Develop and maintain In. Design templates, master pages, paragraph and character styles, graphic libraries, and other reusable design assets.
Create and edit vector graphics and other visual assets using Adobe Illustrator and related Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Support document layout and production in Microsoft Word , including highly formatted documents, tables, charts, and graphics. Use Microsoft Excel to organize and present data for charts, tables, schedules, and proposal graphics.
Use Canva to develop supporting graphics and communications materials, as needed. Perform final document production and quality-control reviews to ensure visual consistency, formatting accuracy, readability, and overall presentation quality. Manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities while meeting firm proposal deadlines.
Support other marketing and business development design needs as workload requires. The Criteria for Joining Our Team Required Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field. Relevant and sufficient work experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree requirement. Minimum five (5) years of professional experience using Adobe In.
Design , including experience developing and producing multi-page documents. Demonstrated graphic design and document-layout experience, with a portfolio showing strong typography, page composition, information hierarchy, and visual communication skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel . Ability to turn complex or text-heavy information into clear, professional visual solutions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, high-quality work. Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively under firm deadlines. Ability to collaborate with both creative and technical professionals. Preferred Experience supporting proposals, qualifications, or marketing efforts for organizations involved in: Disaster Response & Recovery (DRR) Construction Management Program Management Transportation and Public Works Coastal Restoration and Water Resources Environmental Services Architecture and Engineering Federal, State, or Local Government contracting Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Experience with Canva . Experience developing proposal graphics, including infographics, process diagrams, organizational charts, schedules, project sheets, and data visualizations.
