Job description
Reads job order to determine machine programming requirements. Sets up machine parameters and power settings. Calls up part number from computer to program machine. Puts steel into machine to cut part. Checks to print using various measuring devices to determine accuracy of part. Perform part verifications. Performs routine machine maintenance. Performs simple laser programming. Troubleshoots problems and adjusts machine as necessary to correct. Assist Steel Shed Coordinator with unloading & receiving material as well as ordering Instruct laser take off operators. Assists with scheduling of nests. Schedules machine maintenance with Maintenance Department. Cross train Laser take-off and Laser Operator II employees as assigned by Supervisor. All Other Duties as assigned
