Funding must be available for any continuation of appointment.) Work Location: School of Renewable Natural Resources, LSU Agricultural Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana Position Description: The individual will be expected to perform a variety of duties as a research associate in the Renewable Natural Resources Department. Primary duties include sampling and tissue analysis of invasive fish. Additional duties include supporting on-going research projects (e.g., native fishes, freshwater mussels, benthic invertebrates, water quality); maintenance of boats and trucks; inventory management; field activity planning; data entry and analysis; assist principal investigators in the design and direction of research activities, reporting, and publication of results. Qualification Requirements: BS or MS in natural resources management, ecology, wildlife management, or fisheries management, or very closely related biological field; experience with comprehensive management reporting; experience with database management and programming, and GIS and Microsoft applications; ability to work well independently and within collaborative teams. Previous experience in electrofishing, field and laboratory fish sampling and handling, and water quality research is strongly preferred. LSU and the Ag.
