1 Predoc Position Ref. Cpis-Predoc-Pipf-2026-02. Department of Political and Social Sciences - Sociology Area

• Carry out the academic and training activities required in the PhD program in Political and Social Sciences and work on the research and development of your doctoral thesis under the guidance of a supervisor.

• Do a maximum of 60 hours of face-to-face teaching in Catalan/Spanish and/or English, per academic year in courses of the teaching programmes of the Department of Political and Social Sciences. Teaching can be carried out either in the morning or in the afternoon.

• Collaboration in research and teaching activities of the department.

• Profile: Sociology

 

PhD students enrolled in the academic year 2025-2026.

Master's students and master graduates who have been admitted to the PhD programme for AY 2026-27. To be admitted to the selection process the candidate must fulfil the requirements for admission to a doctoral programme.   

Accreditation of linguistic competence (Spanish/Catalan and English) to teach in the Department.

Criteria for assessing candidates (merits) :

CV – publications, attendance at conferences, seminars, letter of recommendation from the thesis supervisor, knowledge transfer etc. (50 points).

Suitability of the candidate to the thematic area of the profile selected - orientation of his/her research, research proposal submitted at the PhD program, specific training in the thematic area, etc. (25 points).

Language knowledge - Catalan, Spanish, English (25 points).
