Come join our team! We have immediate openings for Material Handler/Packagers. We currently have 1st shift opportunities available. These are 12-hour shifts with an alternating schedule and working hours are 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. The alternating work week schedule includes every other weekend (36 hours one week/48 hours the next).

Call or text 865-585-4897 for any questions. SUMMARY : Load, unload, and move materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties. Responsible for the shrink-wrap, pick & play, labelers, case sealers, and stacking & wrapping of good product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Conduct operations in accordance with safety requirements. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand; load and unload parcels and pallets to/from trailers; move large roles of material for machine start up. Supports production in keeping packaging line operational and materials staged for production.

Use inventory control techniques in the required manner for finished goods; Rotates stock. Pulls orders for shipment to customers as well as pulls samples for incoming inspections as instructed by Process Technicians & Controls Technicians. Maintains warehouse area in a neat and orderly manner. Maintains and is responsible for daily Fork and Clamp Truck inspections and maintenance.

Stocks work in progress and finished goods produced by manufacturing into correct warehouse locations for distribution. Pulls work in progress materials for use in assembly area and raw materials for use in production area. Ensure packaging, boxing and labeling of finished good is accurate. Repackage goods, which are damaged in storage.

Arrives at work on time and complies with company attendance and tardiness policies. Obeys all rules and performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION

AND/OR EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with 2 to 4 months to one-year related experience and/or training; or 6 months to one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Previous forklift experience preferred.
