Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join an outpatient pediatric clinic in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support children in developing the skills needed for daily living, including fine motor coordination, sensory processing, and functional independence.
You will provide engaging, play-based therapy while collaborating closely with families to support each child’s development. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact while growing professionally in a supportive clinical setting.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
- Guide pediatric patients through therapeutic activities focused on fine motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Educate parents and caregivers on home programs and carryover techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and patient progress
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards Requirements
- Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Minimum of 6 months of recent COTA experience within the last 5 years preferred
- Experience in an outpatient pediatric setting is a plus
