Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor

Moravian Manor Communities , located in the charming town of Lititz, PA, is a respected not-for-profit senior living community with a 50-year tradition of serving older adults. We are currently seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dedicated Environmental Services team. This role is ideal for an experienced housekeeping professional who takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and team members while supporting and leading a strong housekeeping team.

This full-time opportunity offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with working hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Candidates must be available to work every other weekend and occasional holidays.

Assists Housekeeping Supervisor with ensuring building environment meets sanitary, safety, and cosmetic expectations to also include conducting quality assurance inspections with the Housekeeping Supervisor for staff Provides guidance, support and supervision alongside the Housekeeping Supervisor to frontline staff Covers housekeeping assignments as needed due to staffing shortages Creates and revises Housekeeping staff schedule along with the Housekeeping supervisor Assist the Housekeeping Supervisor in creating and maintaining floor surface preventative maintenance schedule and assure all floor surfaces are maintained.

Must be able to lead/supervise the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments both as a leadership team alongside the Housekeeping and Laundry supervisors, and independently every other weekend and occasional holidays. Perform other duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications of an Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor: High School Graduate or GED Minimum one (1) year experience in Housekeeping field; supervisory experience preferred Possess strong interpersonal and telephone communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally, courteously, and effectively to residents, inclduing when addressing complex concerns or challenging interactions.

Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, exercise sound judgment, and effectively resolve routine and moderately complex problems. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations necessary to carry out departmental responsibilities. Must have basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Windows and Office Software, have the ability to adapt to new software and be willing to continue with additional department-specific computer training.

Must be knowledgeable in floor care equipment and procedures and knowledge of all cleaning products.
