2026 - 2027 Special Education Teacher (LBS1 Cert.)

Elementary Autism Program Teacher (LBS1) | Grades 3–5 | Illinois Help Students Grow Through Individualized Learning Clarifi Staffing Solutions is partnering with an Illinois elementary school to hire a full-time Special Education Teacher for a self-contained 3rd–5th grade autism classroom. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys creating structured learning environments and implementing individualized strategies that help students develop academically, socially, and functionally.

What You'll Be Doing: Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, administrators, and families. Track student growth through ongoing progress monitoring and documentation. Differentiate lessons to meet a variety of learning styles and developmental needs.

Provide specialized instruction to students in grades 3–5 within a self-contained classroom. Promote communication, independence, positive behavior, and meaningful classroom participation.

Requirements

Excellent organization, flexibility, and communication skills. At a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a closely related discipline. Background working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder is strongly preferred. Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.

Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining a positive, student-focused mindset.
