Loan Recovery Officer

∙Collaborate with Revenue Assurance Officer to Identify technical challenges with Remita and deductions setup responsible for loan default ∙Collaborate with Revenue Assurance Officer to know customers account status with Remita ∙To carry out action plans from monthly credit review of delinquent loans. ∙Recovery of delinquent loans after credit review.

∙Daily call to delinquent customers through phone calls, emails, or even in-person visits to discuss repayment options. ∙Negotiate payment plans with debtors, considering their financial situation and aiming to recover the maximum amount possible. ∙To follow with debtors who have gone missing or not reachable. ∙When necessary, liaise with legal unit to initiate legal proceedings to recover the debt.

∙Report recovery progress and rates weekly and monthly to the Risk department. ∙Other duties assigned by the Head of Risk.

Requirements

∙Minimum of 2 years of recovery experience, preferably in a digital finance organization(s) ∙Familiarity with Tele-recovery approach to loan recovery is an important requirement. ∙Experience working in Microfinance Bank and understanding of CBN stipulated portfolio at risk ratio is a must have ∙Previous and proven usage of core banking solutions is essential for the role holder ∙The role require good knowledge of excel, PowerPoint, report writing, power BI and other numeric tools ∙Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills is required ∙Candidate must possess the ability to work independently and part of a team, should be a self-starter ∙Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills ∙Possession of minimum of 2 years post-secondary education
