JOB SUMMARY

Lantic is currently hiring for the position of Accounting Analyst, Sugar Division at the Montreal refinery. Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, Eastern Sugar Division, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the plant’s financial activities, including accounting, financial planning, forecasting and performance analysis.

The Accounting Analyst works closely with the Plant Controller and operational teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data and to support decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in the monthly close process by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information; Analyze production costs and identify optimization levers to improve financial performance; Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity and relevance of the information; Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and propose recommendations to improve operational and financial efficiency.

; Analyze variances between forecasts and actual results, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions; Participate in the development of the annual budget in collaboration with the various departments, providing an accurate and realistic view of financial requirements; Produce financial forecasts and medium-term projections to anticipate needs and support strategic decision-making; Contribute to the implementation and monitoring of internal control procedures to ensure compliance and secure financial processes; Participate in internal and external audits by providing the requested information and by ensuring the follow-up of recommendations; Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines and the quality of the information provides, guaranteeing the reliability of data for management.
