Job description

We’re currently seeking an experienced Structural Foreman to join GRAYA™. In this role, you’ll support the Site Manager and Project Manager in the day-to-day running of the structural and facade components across GRAYA’s luxury multi-residential sites. You’ll play a hands-on leadership role on site, coordinating structural subcontractors, managing cranage and traffic control requirements, maintaining site safety and presentation standards, and driving quality outcomes from structure through to key milestones.

This is a high-responsibility role suited to a foreman who thrives in fast-moving environments, leads from the front, and takes pride in delivering safe, clean and well-managed sites. This role is central to ensuring the structural and facade phases run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You’ll be a key on-site leader who sets the standard, maintains control of daily activity, and helps ensure programme and quality targets are met. What You’ll Do Structural & Facade Site Leadership Support the Site Manager with day-to-day management of structural and facade works Coordinate structural subcontractors, respond to questions on-site, and escalate issues appropriately Assist in updating short-term subcontractor programs and driving weekly site planning Maintain strong trade accountability across safety, quality, site conduct and performance Safety, Inductions & Compliance Conduct site safety audits alongside GRAYA and external safety consultants Ensure compliance with WHS obligations, OHS legislation, SWMS requirements, PPE usage, and union expectations Manage subcontractor inductions and confirm all required documentation is completed Ensure tools are tagged prior to use and plant/equipment inspections are completed Traffic Control & Public Interface Manage traffic control bookings for lane and road closures Set up required TGS signage daily for footpath/verge closures Manage delivery movements where traffic and pedestrian controls are active Ensure all suppliers and subcontractors adhere to the Traffic Management Plan Cranage & Lift Coordination Manage mobile cranage and tower cranage bookings Coordinate lifts, priorities, labour requirements, and daily lift planning Assist the crane driver and dogman to support safe, efficient lifting operations (dogging support) Site Presentation, Documentation & Quality Maintain a neat, safe and compliant site at all times, including surrounding areas Coordinate site documentation with the PM, ensuring plans, registers and site records are current Liaise with consultants including certifier, engineer, geotech and other authorities Identify defects early and ensure rectification is completed in a timely manner Labour & Trade Management Book and manage labour requirements weekly Manage daily tasks and performance of GRAYA labour and general site labourers Support carpentry trade management during fix-out as required Identify more efficient methods and assist with continuous improvement initiatives Requirements What You’ll Bring Demonstrated experience in a foreman role (structural and/or facade works on multi-residential preferred) Strong ability to manage trades, cranage, deliveries and site logistics Working knowledge of WHS obligations, OHS legislation and safe work practices Confident communicator with the ability to lead teams and maintain standards Ability to work autonomously while remaining aligned with wider project leadership High attention to detail with strong quality and process discipline Basic competency in Microsoft Office and construction site reporting Strong problem solving ability, with the ability to see both the big picture and the fine detail Qualifications Carpentry or Cabinetry Qualification (required) Mandatory Documents Drivers Licence White Card Carpentry Licence QLeave Number QBCC Open Site Supervisor Licence Benefits Why GRAYA™?
