  • AV & Integrated Solutions is a key specialist within the Application Support team, focusing on pre-sales and bid-stage activities for integrated AV, lighting, control, and infrastructure systems. Collaborating with Business Development Managers, the role ensures proposals are based on real delivery experience, maintaining technical ownership from pre-sales to project delivery. This role enhances pre-sales technical capacity, leading concept design development while working with Application Support engineers to verify and validate bid-stage outputs. It ensures shared design ownership and continuity, reducing risks and supporting efficient project execution. Operating within established technical frameworks, the Systems Designer focuses on life-safety and compliance-driven systems, collaborating with the Lead Applications Engineer & Solutions Architect. After project award, the role facilitates a structured handover, supporting detailed design development and validation, ultimately ensuring delivery success. Why Solotech? As a global leader in live productions, systems integration and virtual technology, our team is comprised of more than 2,000 passionate individuals. Our ambition? To deliver spectacular experiences worldwide. Your day will look like: Pre-Sales & Bid Support Act as primary technical liaison for Business Development Managers, leading the development of high-level system designs, schematics, and technical proposals aligned to client requirements and commercial constraints. Assess technical feasibility, identify key risks and dependencies, and support bid-stage review processes, engaging with clients, consultants, and stakeholders as required. Support the preparation of written technical proposals and technical approach documents, translating system designs into clear, client-facing narratives that communicate solution intent and delivery confidence. Produce supporting drawings, technical overviews, and system diagrams to accompany proposals, with CAD drafting team support available to assist with workload where needed. Collaborative Design Development & Validation Work closely with Application Support engineers across all disciplines to ensure early-stage designs benefit from delivery experience and are subject to proportionate validation prior to submission. Facilitate shared ownership of design intent, reducing handover risk and supporting continuity from initial concept through to project delivery. Technical Governance & Architectural Alignment Operate within established technical frameworks and solution architectures, escalating deviations or high-risk decisions to the Lead Applications Engineer & Solutions Architect for review. Maintain consistency and quality across all pre-sales outputs, with particular diligence for compliance-driven systems such as life-safety and PAVA. Handover to Delivery & Design Continuity Support structured handover into project delivery, providing clear documentation of design intent, assumptions, and identified constraints for Application Support engineers responsible for implementation. Collaborate with delivery engineers during early project stages to refine designs, ensuring continuity without duplicating ownership or bypassing detailed design validation. Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing Contribute to pre-sales standards, templates, and best-practice development, sharing learning from delivery and service feedback to improve future bids. Maintain awareness of emerging AV technologies and support alignment between pre-sales activity and delivery capability. Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested.
