Seattle, Washington, United StatesFull-timePosted Oct 6, 2026

Job description

ABOUT VIMLY Vimly is a growth-stage, PE-backed benefits administration technology company on a mission to make benefits simpler, smarter, and more accessible. We serve mid-market employers with a modern, integrated platform that replaces the complexity and fragmentation of legacy benefits systems. We are growing fast.

We are building something real in a market that rewards trust, expertise, and execution. This is not a transactional sale. It is a consultative, relationship-driven process with sophisticated buyers, and it requires a leader who understands that difference. THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for a VP of Partnerships who is a builder.

You will develop and scale a robust partnership ecosystem that drives high-quality sales leads for our account executives. You will identify, cultivate, and activate relationships with consultants, brokers, ERISA lawyers, and other ecosystem players who have deep connections to our target market and can help us unlock MEWA and AHP opportunities.

This is not a role for a passive relationship manager. We need a leader who actively sources new partnerships, develops win-win value propositions, and creates a formal pipeline of partner-sourced leads that feed directly into our sales motion. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Product to ensure partners are equipped to refer opportunities and that every lead is treated with the rigor and discipline our revenue team demands.

If you are energized by building networks, uncovering non-obvious partnership opportunities, and turning those relationships into a systematic lead generation engine, this is your role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Build and Scale a Strategic Partnership Ecosystem Develop a comprehensive partnership strategy focused on consultants, brokers, ERISA/benefits lawyers, and other advisors with MEWA and AHP market access. Identify and prospectively outreach to high-potential partners. Target the firms and individuals with credibility and referral channels in our target market.

Establish clear partnership tiers and value exchange models that incentivize partners to refer Vimly opportunities and bring us into important conversations. Own a pipeline of partnership prospects, with clear stages, qualification criteria, and conversion metrics. Generate Qualified Sales Pipeline Through Partnerships Work directly with Sales leadership to define what makes a qualified partner-sourced lead and ensure partners understand our ideal customer profile (ICP) for MEWA and AHP business.

Establish formal lead sourcing agreements with active partners, complete with SLAs on lead quality and responsiveness. Track, measure, and report on partner-sourced pipeline and closed revenue. Optimize based on what works. Hold partners and internal teams accountable. Partner leads should convert at predictable rates, and Vimly should respond to partner referrals with speed and professionalism.

Activate and Enable Partners Create partner enablement programs: training, positioning, case studies, collateral. Equip partners to talk about Vimly and confidently refer opportunities. Build co-sell playbooks for high-value partner opportunities that define how Vimly, the partner, and the prospect all work together to close deals.

Host regular partner webinars, feedback sessions, and business reviews to keep relationships active and gather market intelligence. Partner with Marketing to create partner-friendly content and positioning that helps advisors recommend Vimly to their clients. Orchestrate Cross-Functional Alignment Work closely with Sales leadership to ensure partner leads are treated with the same rigor and discipline as direct pipeline.

They should be assigned, tracked, and closed with accountability. Partner with Product and Client Success to ensure we deliver exceptional experiences that partners and their referrals see as a reflection of Vimly's quality. Represent the voice of the market to Sales and Product, bringing partner feedback and market insights into roadmap and go-to-market discussions.

Serve as an internal champion for the partnership model, building the operational discipline needed to scale this engine alongside direct sales. Bring Process and Rigor Implement a structured partnership pipeline, with clear deal stages, lead qualification criteria, and forecasting discipline. Build reporting and analytics that show which partnerships drive the highest-quality leads and closed revenue.

Use data to scale what works. Establish partner performance metrics and regular business reviews to keep partnerships healthy and productive. Continually iterate on partnership models, enablement, and deal support to improve conversion rates and partner satisfaction.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Have Qualifications 7+ years in B2B business development, partnerships, or channel leadership at a SaaS, HRtech, benefits, or insurance technology company. Proven ability to identify, recruit, and activate high-potential partners from scratch. You have built a partnership or channel program, not just managed existing relationships.

Deep expertise in the benefits administration, insurance, or financial services ecosystem. You understand the advisor, broker, and consultant landscape and have existing credibility in that world. Demonstrated success building a pipeline of partner-sourced opportunities and translating that pipeline into closed revenue.

Experience working cross-functionally with sales teams to ensure partner leads are qualified, tracked, and closed with the same rigor as direct sales. Experience in PE-backed, growth-stage environments where there is real accountability to growth targets and investors. Strong process orientation. You believe in pipeline discipline, clear metrics, and accountability.

You build systems that scale. Bonus Points Deep relationships or credibility in the MEWA or AHP space. You know the key players, consultants, and advisors. Experience with broker or agent-based go-to-market models in benefits or insurance technology. Background in benefits consulting, ERISA law, or TPAs. Insider knowledge of how advisors work and what they value.

Track record of building multiple partnership channels (consultants, brokers, specialty advisors) that work together to drive pipeline. Experience building incentive or referral models that drive partner behavior at scale. WHO THRIVES AT VIMLY Great partnership leaders at Vimly share a few non-negotiables: They are builders, not caretakers.

They see a blank page and get excited to fill it with new partnerships and revenue streams. They are hard workers. This is a high-performance, PE-backed environment with real expectations. It is not a place to coast. They lead by example. They are comfortable making cold outreach, having tough partnership conversations, and rolling up their sleeves to close deals.

They are coachable and data-driven. They welcome feedback, look at the numbers without flinching, and use both to get better. They make the people around them better. They understand how to position partnerships as a team effort, making Sales, Product, and Client Success look good in front of partners. They are mission-aligned.

Vimly exists to make benefits better for employers and members who deserve better tools. Our VP of Partnerships will believe in that mission and use it to attract and activate partnerships that share our vision.
