Before and After School Child Care Assistant

Your Role

Supervising and engaging with large and small groups of children in a variety of settings, including classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, computer labs, playgrounds, and on field trips. Supporting children with a variety of needs. Overseeing students during transitions, breakfast, lunch, and snack times. Assisting the Kid Zone Instructor with preparing and implementing the daily curriculum and activities.

Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment by setting up, cleaning, and storing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum age 18 with a high school diploma. Training or experience working with children in group and supervisory settings. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. Basic academic competencies to provide tutorial support when needed. Salary and Benefits: $18.68 – $22.

46 per hour. Paid time off, 12 paid holidays per year. Position follows the school year calendar, from September to June, with a total of 176 days + field trip days.
