YOUR ROLE:

Hillis-Carnes Engineering is actively seeking a Geotechnical Driller Helperfor our Woodbine, MD office. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the geotechnical drill rig operations and drilling techniques, but willing to train a good candidate. Candidate needs to be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic. Experience with Hollow Stem Auger and Casing Advance Drilling, Mud Rotary Drilling, Split Spoon and Shelby Tube Sampling, and Rock Coring**. Projects will be primarily located in MD and DE** with the possibility of work in other states.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED

• Ability to meet additional pre-employment requirements.

• Excellent organizational skills

• Strong work ethic, team player attitude, responsible, and reliable

• Must be able to work out of town when needed

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.

• Clean and maintain company vehicle, drill rig, and equipment

• Work closely with site leadership to ensure that scope of work is being met within a timely schedule and in accordance with the safety standards

• Produce daily reports and boring logs

• Successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company-provided training and mentoring
