Job description

Breakfast and After School Club Supervisor in Groombridge, near Royal Tunbridge Wells ๐ŸŒŸ ยฃ14.21 per hour (permanent) 7:30-9am and 3pm-6pm Monday to Friday during school term-time (additional hours can be available during school holidays) Location: Groombridge (TN3), East Sussex, close to Royal Tunbridge Wells. โšก Immediate start available!

Our client is a growing wraparound childcare and holiday club provider working with primary schools across East and West Sussex, built around one simple belief: that wraparound care should be so much more than somewhere children go because their parents are working. They're looking for a Wraparound Childcare Club Supervisor to take genuine ownership of their breakfast and after school clubs in Groombridge, and shape it into a place children look forward to every single day.

This isn't a supervising-from-the-sidelines role. It's yours to run (with support, of course!) You'll lead a team, decide how the space feels, and build the kind of relationships with children, families and the school that make a club somewhere children want to be, not just somewhere they have to be. Expect a real mix of child-led play and planned activities, from arts and crafts to games and quiet time, with an emphasis on giving every child, including those with SEN needs, a place where they can thrive.

On offer is ยฃ14.21 per hour on a permanent basis, genuine ownership of your own club, and a supportive, ambitious team behind you as you grow into the role. Working pattern: Monday to Friday during school term-time, covering breakfast club (7:30-9am) and after school club (3-6pm). Full commitment to all sessions is required for this permanent position; this is not a flexible or ad-hoc opportunity.

Immediate start available!

Key responsibilities

๐Ÿ‘‘ Owning the club: Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the breakfast club at your school, leading a team of childcare workers with fairness and professionalism. ๐ŸŽจ Shaping the experience: Plan and deliver a balance of child-led play and structured activities that feel genuinely engaging. ๐Ÿค Championing inclusion: Help make sessions accessible and welcoming for all children, including those with SEN, working alongside the wider team's specialism in this area.

โœ… Safety and administration: Complete registers, accident and incident forms, and health and safety checks, and follow all safeguarding policies and procedures. ๐Ÿ’ฌ Building relationships: Communicate warmly and professionally with children, parents, the school, and colleagues, representing the club's reputation every day.

About you

๐ŸŒŸ A natural leader: You're ready to take ownership of a team and a space, and comfortable being the one who makes things happen. โค๏ธ Genuinely passionate about children: You want to create a nurturing, fun and inclusive environment, not just supervise one. ๐Ÿ“… Fully committed: You can commit to Monday to Friday, breakfast club sessions.

๐Ÿ’ฌ A strong communicator: You build trust easily with children, parents, and school staff alike. ๐Ÿš— Able to drive: Due to the location of the school, driving is ideal as public transport doesn't operate at all the required times - unless you live nearby or have alternative options.

What's in it for you

๐Ÿ‘ถ Free childcare at the company's clubs for your own children during term-time and school holidays. ๐Ÿค— A supportive, friendly, and growing team where people are genuinely valued. ๐Ÿ“ˆ Training, support, and real opportunities to develop. ๐ŸŽฏ Permanent, term-time role with real ownership of your own club. This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
