Touch Up Operator

Description Job Purpose: Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of complex inspections in the production/assembly process. Follows general inspection guidelines to conduct critical non-routine as well as repetitive visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on a wide variety of component boards and assemblies.

Ability to hand solder components for touch up, rework, wire, follow ECN instruction by using soldering stations and SRT/BGA repair machines. Must be flexible to support a small company’s goals and may have other duties as assigned by manager.

Duties and responsibilities

• Ability to hand solder components for touch up/Rework using soldering stations.
• Ability to read and understand blue prints, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
• Working knowledge of inspection techniques and instruments, specification interpretation and quality control terminology.
• Complies with IPC-A-610D standards and must be able to perform PCB repairs, using scopes.
• Minimum of three years of increasingly difficult rework experience. Good communication skills.
