Water Plant Operator I

This is entry-level work in operating and maintaining a municipal potable water treatment plant. Work involves performing routine and semi-skilled assignments in accordance with established procedures and assisting in a variety of duties to develop skill and competency in water plant operations. This position requires shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as the treatment processes are operated continuously.

All work is performed under immediate supervision and evaluated through observation and results obtained.
