The ideal candidate is a conceptual thinker that is confident in presenting big ideas, both internally and externally. Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily creative execution of projects including writing, adapting from core materials, reviewing projects, incorporating comments, referencing, and annotating
- Resident expert about the brand, disease state, clinical trials and data, and competitive products
- Present creative work and ideas with art partner to clients
- Attend MLR meetings, noting direction and application of changes to other pieces
- Attend appropriate client meetings, market research, workshops and begin to engage in dialogue with supervisor, team, and client about key insights
- Works collaboratively with all cross-functional team members including Editing, Project Management, Art, and Account Management
- Support new business efforts and/or conceptual work
- Adhere to client regulatory and approval processes Education and Experience: - 3-4 years of pharmaceutical copywriting experience in a fast-paced agency setting
- Recent experience working on a pharmaceutical brand / familiarity with scientific information related to pharmaceutical advertising
- Understanding of the agency process and ability to ask direct and relevant questions pertaining to timing, content, or creative direction
- Must possess a thorough understanding of the healthcare market and competition
- A compelling portfolio included with your application (can be website, file sharing link or PDF attachment)
- Ability to manage projects with little supervision
- Proven ability to present approved content to clients
- Excellent attention to detail
- Motivated to seek/gain additional creative opportunities and work on new business pitches
- Proactive about finding inspiration and researching new creative ideas for keeping things fresh
- Autonomous, yet you know when and how to raise questions or issues to your manager This role will be based in New York City. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
$90,000-$110,000 Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
