Experienced Commercial Door Technician
Full-Time • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM • Field Position, Dispatched from Home
About the Role
RCI Doors is seeking a reliable, experienced Commercial Door & Dock Service Technician to service customers throughout the area. This is a remote field position dispatched from home, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining commercial and industrial doors and dock equipment.
We install, service, and repair a wide range of equipment — from overhead sectional and rolling steel doors to loading docks, hollow metal doors, glass storefronts, gates, and access control systems. No two days are the same!
We’ll provide you with a company service truck, hand and power tools, uniforms, and a supportive team that values safety, skill, and reliability.
What You’ll Be Doing

Installing, servicing, and repairing commercial and industrial doors and dock equipment

Completing fire door and automatic door inspections in accordance with safety and compliance standards

Performing preventative maintenance to ensure proper door and equipment operation

Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and access control systems

Reading blueprints and following installation specifications

Working in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail spaces, and office buildings

Using mobile dispatch software to manage job details, service calls, and customer updates

Communicating clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers

Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicles in top condition

Following all safety procedures on every job.
Experience with storefront systems, hollow metal doors, or automatic pedestrian doors is a major plus!
What We’re Looking For

3–5 years of experience in the door, construction, or a related industry

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Comfortable working from ladders, lifts, and at various job sites

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Dependable, customer-focused, and professional
-
Basic computer/iPad skills and comfort using mobile apps

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical
