We are seeking qualified applicants for the position: Technician, Electrical Located: Cameron We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Technician, Electrical located in Sulphur, LA. General Description: The Technician, Electrical reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical power systems that support safe and reliable facility and pipeline operations.
This role focuses on power distribution, motor controls, switchgear, and related electrical infrastructure to ensure maximum equipment uptime and operational reliability. The Electrician ensures all work is performed in compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Participate in commissioning activities Assist with the CMMS build out Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems up to 480V (motors, MCCs, breakers, transformers) Diagnose and repair power distribution systems and electrical faults Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment Read and interpret one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and panel layouts Install and terminate conduit, cable tray, wiring, and electrical panels Support facility startup, shutdown, and commissioning activities Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and company safety standards Participate in emergency response and after-hours call-outs as required Maintain work orders, documentation, and compliance records in CMMS Serve as the site electrical subject matter expert (SME) Interface with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams Travel as required to support regional facilities Required Qualifications Other duties as required Qualifications: Education and Certifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required Journeyman Electrician license required (Master Electrician preferred) Valid driver’s license TWIC card or ability to obtain Experience: 480V power systems Switchgear and panelboards Motor controls and VFDs MCCs and transformers Backup generators Experience troubleshooting industrial electrical faults Experience in natural gas, midstream, pipeline, or heavy industrial environments preferred Basic PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP preferred) TWIC holder or ability to obtain TWIC Journeyman Electrician preferred Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and enter confined spaces Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays and respond to call outs and emergencies Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules Must be able to respond to an emergency at the station within 60 minutes Skills: Must possess valid driver’s license and meet company insurability requirements May be required to possess a commercial driver’s license, drive a company commercial vehicle and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations Strong leadership and organizational skills are required Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries and governmental agencies Organized, strong planning skills, able to manage multiple activities in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines.
Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ability to work independently in remote locations Strategic planning & operational excellence.
