Our client, a privately held Fintech Group operating in Fund Administration, Investment Services, Online Investing, and Payments, is looking for an Accountant to join their team. In this role, the selected candidate will manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping, assist in the preparation of VAT returns and management accounts, as well as support the Manager and coordinate with external auditors.
This is an office-based role offering a salary of up to €40K (depending on experience) plus a KPI-related bonus . Role and Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting tasks and bookkeeping Process and record transactions, supplier invoices, and intra-group charges Handle month-end postings such as prepayments, accruals, and depreciation Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and monthly management accounts Support the Manager in liaising with internal and external auditors Document and update internal processes and procedures Prepare and review annual and semi-annual financial statements in preparation for statutory reporting Education, Skills and Experience Degree in Accounting or a related field; ACCA qualified or currently pursuing ACCA 2+ years of experience as an Accountant; experience in the Fintech sector is a plus Fluent in English, both written and spoken Proficient in MS Office applications, with strong expertise in Excel Strong analytical and accounting skills Organised, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team Excellent communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines About the Role Salary of up to €40K depending on experience KPI-related bonus Office-based in Birkirkara Support for professional qualifications and study leave Health insurance Fitness and mental health allowance Opportunity for career growth Apply with your detailed CV.
