  • Spectrum Vision Partners / OCLI Vision is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team! As a key member of our front office, you'll help create a positive patient experience while supporting appointment scheduling, insurance verification, patient registration, and daily administrative operations.

What You'll Do

Welcome patients, manage check-in/check-out, answer incoming calls, and provide exceptional customer service. Scheduling: Schedule, cancel, and modify appointments while managing provider schedules and coordinating patient needs. Insurance & Referrals: Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain referrals through insurance portals, and navigate verification platforms such as Clearwave.

Patient Payments: Collect copays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other out-of-pocket expenses. Professionally discuss financial responsibilities and address basic billing questions. Office Coordination: Communicate with clinical teams and other office locations to support patient flow and continuity of care. Administrative Support: Maintain accurate patient records, utilize EMR systems, and communicate professionally through phone and email.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required; medical reception experience preferred. Experience with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, and basic medical billing preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems (Next. Gen preferred) and insurance platforms such as Clearwave . Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel , including professional email communication.

Strong communication, multitasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to confidently and compassionately discuss patient balances, deductibles, and financial responsibilities. Positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work Saturdays based on office needs.
