The Pharmacist II Ambulatory Retail Specialty Clinic prepares and dispenses prescribed medications to patients in the community setting. This role educates patients, supervises pharmacy technicians and operates under the general supervision of a pharmacist manager. Essential Job Function Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient.
Oversees and verifies prescription order entry, packaging and dispensing. Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public. Assists with the supervision and evaluation of pharmacy technicians Provides other clinical services as necessary to facilitate patient care.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor's of Pharmacy Experience Required: 3 years Licensure/Certification/Listing Required: Registered Pharmacist in NC within 60 days of hire BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider Work Shift : On Call Required No FTE: 1 Job Type: Full Time (40 Hours/Week)
