Job description

The SD MM consultant is responsible for the design, configuration and deployment of SAP SD and MM solutions. The role ensures end-to-end implementation, supporting global template roll outs, and optimizing business processes through effective stakeholder collaboration, fit-to-standard approaches, and seamless integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure and deploy SAP SD and MM solutions, including extensive configuration (SPRO) across key processes. Ensure end-to-end implementations, support, and global template roll outs, across multiple regions and business units. Configure processes in SD (pricing, billing, shipping, partner determination, credit management) and MM (procurement, inventory, valuation, release strategies).

Drive discussions with business stakeholders and translating requirements into effective SAP solutions. Perform fit-gap analysis and align solutions with SAP best practices towards a fit-to-standard approach. Integrate SD/MM with FI/CO, WM/EWM, and PP for seamless end-to-end process flows. Manage configuration, SIT/UAT testing, defect resolution, and production support Assist with data migration (Migration Cockpit/LSMW) and master data management Stakeholder management and leading solution design and process improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Skills: Hands on experience with SAP SD and MM. Hands on experience in Integrating SD/MM with FI/CO, WW/EWM and PP. Experience in configuration, SIT/UAT testing, defect resolution and production support. Technical understanding of IDocs, EDI, APIs, middleware (SAP CPI/PI/PO), and system integrations. Good understanding of SAP data structures, tables, and system architecture.

Experience in data migration (Migration Cockpit/LSMW) and master data management. Actively involved in design workshops, driving discussions with business stakeholders and translating requirements into effective SAP solutions.

Requirements

Strong stakeholder management and ability to lead solution designs and process improvement initiatives. Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Fit-to-Standard methodologies is highly desirable. Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Commerce, or related discipline.

MBA (Operations/Supply Chain) preferred. Preferred Certifications: SAP Certified Application Associate – Sales and Distribution (SD) SAP Certified Application Associate – Materials Management (MM) SAP S/4HANA Sales Certification SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement Certification Supply Chain Management Certifications (Preferred) Yrs of Exp: 10+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP SD and MM, including extensive configuration (SPRO) across key processes.
