PMLD Support Assistant – Wanstead – Permanent

A specialist SEN setting in Wanstead, Redbridge is looking for a PMLD Support Assistant to support pupils with complex additional needs. This is a specialist support role for someone comfortable with complex needs and personal care. This is a practical, hands-on support role. The school needs someone caring, resilient and confident working with pupils who may need communication support, sensory support, personal care or structured routines.

What the role involves:

• Supporting pupils with complex needs, ASD, PMLD or EHCP-linked needs
• Helping pupils access learning and daily routines
• Working closely with SEN teachers, therapists and support staff
• Providing consistent, patient and reliable support What they are looking for:
• SEN, care, support work, school or youth work experience
• Someone comfortable with practical support
• Patience, resilience and strong communication
